SECURE E-COMMERCE
At Crèdit Andorrà we are aware of the need to ensure security when our customers use their cards, as well as when they shop online.
That is why Crèdit Andorrà's Visa and MasterCard come with a Secure E-Commerce service, a free authentication system that will enable you to make online purchases more securely and avoid potential fraud in retailers that have registered for the Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure Code payment systems.
How does the Secure E-Commerce service work once I have activated it?
- Customers enter the information that retailers usually request for online purchases.
- The Crèdit Andorrà home page will open so that the transaction can be validated via Secure E-Commerce.
- Customers will then receive a text message with a security code to confirm and validate the transaction.
Whenever you make an online purchase, the retailer will ask you for your card number, its expiry date and the card security code in order to make the payment. Once you have entered your details, you will be redirected to a Crèdit Andorrà web page where you will be asked to enter a code you will have received on the mobile phone number you entered when you activated the Secure E-Commerce service from your e-Crèdit account. This code is a one-time password that will only be valid for this transaction. You will now be able to complete your purchase securely.
