That is why Crèdit Andorrà's Visa and MasterCard come with a Secure E-Commerce service, a free authentication system that will enable you to make online purchases more securely and avoid potential fraud in retailers that have registered for the Verified by Visa and MasterCard Secure Code payment systems. You can make online purchases easily and securely with our cards using the Secure Electronic Commerce service. This authentication system is free and generates an SMS with a unique and personal code so that you can make your online purchase.

How does the Secure E-Commerce service work once I have activated it?

  • Customers enter the information that retailers usually request for online purchases.
  • The Crèdit Andorrà home page will open so that the transaction can be validated via Secure E-Commerce.
  • Customers will then receive a text message with a security code to confirm and validate the transaction.

Whenever you make an online purchase, the retailer will ask you for your card number, its expiry date and the card security code in order to make the payment. Once you have entered your details, you will be redirected to a Crèdit Andorrà web page where you will be asked to enter a code you will have received on the mobile phone number you entered when you activated the Secure E-Commerce service from your e-Crèdit account. This code is a one-time password that will only be valid for this transaction. You will now be able to complete your purchase securely.

What happens if I don't receive the SMS?

We would like to inform you that, as this service is provided by telecommunications operators, Crèdit Andorrà cannot guarantee that the SMS will be received on the user's device in all cases, as it is necessary to receive an SMS validation code to confirm online purchases in certain shops.

We also recommend that our clients check their mobile phone settings to ensure that they can receive SMS messages when they are roaming outside Andorra.
